My Story!

My name is Caleb Carpenter, and cars have been part of my life for as long as I can remember — but the real story isn’t about engines or tools. It’s about people.

My love for fixing things started when I was thirteen, racing a TRAXXAS Stampede 4×4 with my family. We’d jump them, crash them, break them, and laugh the whole time. Every time mine went down, I had to figure out what happened and make it right. I didn’t know it then, but those little moments — sitting on the ground with parts scattered around me — were shaping the way I see the world. Something breaks, you learn what went wrong, and you make it whole again.

But the moment that changed my life came when I was fifteen.

My dad asked me to help him replace the front brakes on a car owned by an elderly woman from our church. She depended on that car. It was her way to get groceries, go to appointments, stay connected to her life. When we finished the job and handed her the keys, the look on her face wasn’t just gratitude — it was relief. Safety. Trust.

That was the moment I realized this work isn’t just mechanical. It’s personal.

I carried that feeling with me through Columbus State Community College, where I earned my associate’s degree in Automotive Technology. I carried it into the Lexus dealership, and later into the privately owned shop where I spent four years learning how to diagnose, repair, and communicate with real people who rely on their vehicles every single day.

And now, I carry it into my own business.

I didn’t start Carpenter’s Automotive Repair just to turn wrenches. I started it because I believe people deserve honesty. They deserve someone who cares about their safety, their family, and their peace of mind. They deserve a mechanic who treats their vehicle like it matters — because it does.

Every car that comes into my shop belongs to someone with a life, a story, and responsibilities they can’t afford to put on hold. I don’t take that lightly. I’m grateful every day that I get to use the skills I’ve built to keep people moving, keep them safe, and keep their lives running smoothly.

This isn’t just my job. It’s my purpose. And I’m thankful I get to live it.
